How do you spend your time when you're not reading?
Writing and exercising.
¿Se acuerda del primer cuento que leyó y cómo le impactó?
En general, los cuentos de Rogelio Sinán, Horacio Quiroga, William Saroyan, Ernest Hemingway, Alberto Moravia y Edgar Allan Poe. Todos me parecieron muy estimulantes, auténticas obras de arte narrativo.
Do you remember the first story you read and how it impacted you?
Mostly I read stories from Rogelio Sinán, Horacio Quiroga, William Saroyan, Ernest Hemingway, Alberto Moravia and Edgar Allan Poe. All seemed very stimulating, authentic works of narrative art.

A los 16 años, estando en mi último año de Secundaria, en el Colegio San José (La Salle) de Colón, Panamá.
When did you begin to write?
I was 16 and in my last year of high school at Colegio San José (La Salle) in Colón, Panamá.
¿Qué clase de libros lee y por qué?
Libros de cuentos, novelas, poemarios y libros de ensayos. Para comprender cómo los diversos escritores expresan su visión de mundo, en cada caso.
What kind of books do you read and why?
I read story books, novels, poetry and essays in order to understand how other authors express their vision of the world.
