Interview with Ernie Carwile

The book's title is alluring and sad. How did you come up with it?
The title arrived quite mysteriously. My wife awoke me as I was crying in my sleep. Asking what I was dreaming, I told her an accounting of one of the many instances of degradation by my father. After explaining, she commented that, "Ernie, I know that the incident was embarrassing to you, but it was not anywhere near as horrible as so many of the other abuses by your father." Still groggy from being only half awake, I laid back down and mumbled, "Oh Mary, it was so horrible. Why even the trees were crying" and I fell back asleep. Then she suddenly awoke me again saying, "Ernie wake up. That is title to your book that you've been searching for--"EVEN THE TREES WERE CRYING!"
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Actually, three are two primary purposes. First, I want to provide testimony to others who have been sexually abused that you really can heal from this insidious disease plaguing humankind. I list "6 key elements" I found that contributed to my healing.

Second, pedophilia is an epidemic in our world. For example, did you know that 1 out of every 4 females and 1 out of every 6 males are sexually assaulted in the U.S. With a population of 600 million, this means that 20% or 60 million Americans are walking around significantly damaged! It also means that many of your friends, family and work associates have experienced this debilitating sickness even though they may not discuss it.

Finally, I have a rather extensive list of "signs of sexual" abuse to look for in your lved ones and students.
