Interview with Carmen Lana Etoile

Who are your favorite authors?
I got a lot of favourite authors, and J.K. Rowling is definitely one of them. John Green, Veronica Roth, and loads more.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
School.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I draw, read books, sing horribly along my favourite songs, do random things.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes. It is called Peachy and it is about a bee called Peachy and a player bee called Jules. Peachy fell in love with Jules but instead of loving back, Jules tricked Peachy and left her with a spider which of course ate Peachy. I was eight, and I already have a dark mind LOL
Describe your desk
Er, messy. In my own way. Books, papers, drafts, stationaries, I don't know.
What is your writing process?
It depends. I once saw a really pretty picture and I decided to make a book cover with it. And then I wrote the story. I don't really write drafts, but I do rewrite my stories a lot but I guess it's still drafts to you guys.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Hong Kong, but it really got nothing to do with my writing. I found the people in Hong Kong are mostly narrow-minded and shallow. No offense.
What's your favourite colour?
All. Why not?
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Er I don't really know. Am I even indie?
What do your fans mean to you?
They are the one of the most awesome group of people in the world.
What are you working on next?
It depends. Right now, it's a story about murderer. But yesterday, it was a romance story. Last week, it was a story about my cats. So I don't really know.
