Interview with Victoria De Luca

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy in writing is to watch people I care about get attached to the books I write and getting feed back from strangers of how much they enjoy my writing.
What are you working on next?
What am I working on next? I have an Angel/Demon series that I am working on, more like my cousin is pushing me to finish writing, that I should have book one completed by august.
Who are your favorite authors?
My Favorite Authors are Quinn Loftis, Patricia Briggs, Rick Riordan, P.C. Cast, and so many more.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
It would by my best friend Seth. He is my sunshine and is always ready to help me get threw the day because we all have days when we are just not ready to get up, but Seth is my rock and pushes me to be better than what even I think I can be, making him my inspiration in a lot of my books and many of my characters have his personality.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I'm not writing, I tend to be reading or playing my favorite game on the internet. More time than not I am probably playing my game on the internet. Its called OviPets, its very addicting.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I just mainly search a topic that I am in the mood for and it gives me a list. I tend to sample the book before I buy it so I know whether I'll like it or not.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I ever wrote was about a lonely dolphin that lost it's family. Its proudly sitting in my elementary school library.
What is your writing process?
I like to make Character Cards before I start writing, that way I have the idea of how the character was in the beginning and i'm forgetful so organization is the key to success for me. After the Character Cards I start writing. If I don't like how I started. I'll restart till I get the story line right and I play the book out in my mind.
How do you approach cover design?
Well I have my friend create the covers for me and in my mind I have an idea and I share that with her. She then suprises me with beautiful art work that take my breath away. So in reality I just say to her, "My books about angels and demons." couple hours, days, or weeks later, I have something beautiful for my books.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My e-reading device is my iPhone. Its like my life line. I cant live with out my books and I can find really good ones in the iStore.
Describe your desk
Well my desk is a mess, I never get around to cleaning it so I do all my typing on my bed. It seems to be more creative for me since I sit at a desk all day at school.
