Interview with KiKi and LuLu Raine

Describe your desk
Well it is organized mayhem at the moment. My desk I use is an old fashion writing desk ,which is lovely and then I ruin it with a Chewbacca cup holding my pens and a Lord of the Rings poster behind it.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
We both grew up in Orlando, Fl and just the diverse culture really prepared us to see things with an open mind.
When did you first start writing?
KiKi- I really got into writing and enjoying writing while in college. LuLu- I have been writing my whole life, starting with fiction stories as a child.
What's the story behind your latest book?
We have a combined 30 years of experience exotic dancing and we really wanted to share that knowledge , especially with the new ladies who might not have a clue of what to expect.I wanted it to be a straight forward guide that could help anyone out who might be interested in this profession. We wish we would have had a book like this when I started!
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Kiki- a good friend of mine is a self publishing author and was telling me how easy the process was and it really peaked my interest and when Lulu expressed an interest in helping me I was ready to start our project.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
The whole process was just so easy, the FAQ ask questions section is a must read. You literally can't fail with their help.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Getting our ideas out there to everyone, just sharing our knowledge of exotic dancing.
What do your fans mean to you?
We will let you know when we have some. Kiki - I would love some fans!I think it would be amazing to connect with people who had an interest in our book.
What are you working on next?
We are working on a series of personal stories of different exotic dancers, like their personally journeys, how they came to dance. Their real struggles, joys and love of the profession.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
KiKi- I get recommendations from friends. I also try samples or free books, if i like it I buy it. Lulu-my friends and family recommend books for me.
What is your writing process?
We sit and we talk, we take longhand notes. Our work is constantly interrupted when we get sidetracked with funny stripper stories and just antidotes of our shenanigans.
