Interview with Vanessa

What is your writing process?
I get my ideas way faster than I can write so I often end up asking myself how I will ever make any progress like this. :D
But usually I have one set idea and follow it through and the missing parts come on their own. It's a little experimental, but it's the way I roll.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Letting my inner worlds out on paper (or a word programm) and make them a little more real. At least in my eyes. :)
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I started reading when I was 4 years old so I can't remember sadly.
When did you first start writing?
With six or seven years. Mostly short storys.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
It was in the second grade of elementary school I think, about a princess having birthday and getting a 100 meter tall cake, haha. I remember reading out loud in class.
But I was already imagining storys years before that, when I was very little.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a city mostly focused on it's economy, so I guess it does not have affected me in a way. I lived more in my head than anything, so this is where my true home is until this day.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I guess I just want to make People happy with the things that I create and I try to see if I can also earn money with it while I'm at it. Would be nice, but it is not a necessity. The first book will be for free I think.
How do you approach cover design?
I never thought about cover design, but I guess I just paint or draw them myself. Whatever comes to my mind and fits the plot.
What do your fans mean to you?
I hope they will help cool me down in hot summer. :P
Describe your desk
It has some sort of structure with how the things are arranged on it, but it is still sometimes very stuffed. Still, I always know where everything is. :D
What are you working on next?
I have in mind a story about an alien race discovering other planets,
another story I imagine being psychological horror with a nice twist,
another one where an heroine fights her foe just to end up being stuck with him in a difficult situation and they are trying to get rid of each other,...
I have a few ideas. :D
