Interview with Fred L. Funk

When did you first start writing?
Summer of 2011
What's the story behind your latest book?
Sequel to my first book, Ministry and Moonshine. It explores the moonshine and marijuana industries in the early 1960 and the effects it had on the rural population of East Texas. It is based on actual events surrounding the lives of the author and his wife.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I told my stories as a program for the Denton, Texas Noon Kiwanis Club. Numerous members encouraged, no, they pushed me to write my first book. How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I actually read from print copies. I still like to turn pages.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes. It involved a grandson born with downs and his death. Gave it to my secretary to type (boy that shows my age) and she lost it.
