Interview with George Jenkins

What's the story behind your latest book?
The secrets contained within the pages of In Search of Love's Revival is what the Lord shared with me in visions and dreams. It will carry you from a prison cell to the pulpits of the nations. The Master instructed me to seal up all he showed me until an appointed time. This is that time!
What are you working on next?
My next work will be: Trumpets of Love. It follows the same theme dealing with the Last Great Awakening and the timeline of Scripture of when this will happen. It is a study in the prophets and an appointment with destiny.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a fishing village on the coast of Ireland. It is a land of song and story, a place where writing comes second nature.
What do your fans mean to you?
Without readers there are no writers! Without writers there are no readers! Together we can accomplish much and see our world changed for the better.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Another day to serve the Lord, to experience His presence. Why, life is an adventure as a believer!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I am not writing I am speaking in churches or in conferences around the world. I spend a lot of time planting schools, orphanages and Bible Colleges.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The very first story I ever read was a book called, "Shadow." The story of Border Collie set in the hills of Scotland. After reading I was convinced that one day I too who write of love and laughter.
What do you read for pleasure?
I read, read, read! The more I get my hands on the better. Books dealing with Eschatology, Revival and Awakening cause me to turn page after page.
How do you approach cover design?
I have software that allows me to create elaborate covers. I just let the creative side of me give expression to the manuscript.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Indie is the wave of the future! Soon the print media may be given to collectors only. With electronic publishing one can a reach a larger audience at a less expensive cost to the reader.
How did growing up in Norther Ireland influence your writing?.
Ulster is a land of song and story. Ever since my early days my Uncle Billy a storyteller had a great impact upon my early years. He taught me that a story told well paints a picture designed to engage and captivate the reader. Everywhere in Ireland stories are told, but the greatest story ever told is that of the Love of Jesus. My desire is to paint word picture of that love.
What was the first books you every read and how did they touch your heart.
Great Expectations was the very first classic I remember reading. Soon after followed Treasure Island and Moby Dick. Every page I turned was an adventure in the lessons of life.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
The Bible
Great Expectations
Treasure Island
Moby Dick
Shadow the Sheep Dog
All books on revival and awakening
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I employ Social Media, the local press, email campaigns, of course the website and word of mouth is by far the best. These added to all that "Smashwords" offers their writers all works together for good!
Tell us something about your career?
I am the founder of the Revival Fire Council, an international ministry with a three fold mandate. Promote, MANIFEST and maintain revival at home and around the world. Through this I have had the joy of visiting many nations and falling in love with many very special people. Folks that do not have the benefit of what is available to us in the western world. Doctors, proper food, clean water, medicines are all things we take for granted. To them these are luxuries!
Will you write other books?
The first one published through "Smashwords" was: In Search of Love's Revival. It is a story of my journey to find real revival. This book: Trumpets of Love is the second in a series of books on revival. The third one coming in September will be: The Last Great Awakening. After that I will continue to write for my readers. They are the passion of my heart!
You seem to write about the end of the world, do you think it is near?
I believe Scripture is very clear. The end stands at the very door, however don't be alarmed. All around us, in the news, on television everywhere we can see all that the prophets spoke about unfolding at an unprecedented rate. Let me say it again. Don't be alarmed! God has a wonderful plan to resurrect His church to bring us into Love's Revival, that Last Great Awakening. The greatest days of the church is at hand.
