Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I used to love "Choose your own adventure books". Those were my favorite growing up.
How do you approach cover design?
For my self-published books I decided to go with a simple design. I created both covers, and yes my blood is a little orange on the Nowhere, NJ cover, but I think it works ... Go Tigers!
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Kim Harrison - Rachel Morgan series Kresley Cole - Immortals After Dark series Gena Showalter - Lords of the Underworld series Faith Hunter - Jane Yellowrock series Jeaniene Frost - Night Huntress series
What do you read for pleasure?
PNR and Urban Fantasy ... I actually listen to audio books more than reading ... I love audio books!
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle App on my fabulous Phablet (phone+tablet), Samsung Galaxy Note II
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Promotional postcards and free giveaways.
Describe your desk
I have an awesome sit-stand-treadmill desk that I LOVE!
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a really small town in SC (Central) ... but I'm not sure it was a driving factor in my writing. Another small town near by (Liberty) is the image I have in my head for Hell, MT (a magical trap in my new Urban Fantasy novel Dark Hope).
When did you first start writing?
What's the story behind your latest book?
My new book is an Urban Fantasy novel (releasing February 2014). It was started in 2008 with the title THE DEVIL'S ASSISTANT ... now that is the series title and the new title is DARK HOPE.
