Interview with Heinreich T. Sioson

What are you working on next?
I just finished a series of short stories which I'm currently editing. Now I'm writing the big project - stay tuned for details! :-D
What do you read for pleasure?
Online I read tech blogs/sites, IGN.com, and boxing-related websites mostly. As for books, the genres I enjoy reading include fantasy, sci-fi, fiction, suspense/thriller and certain horror titles.
Who are your favorite authors?
Stephen King, Michael Shaara, Jeff Shaara, Napoleon Hill and Brandon Sanderson.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
The Kindle app on my phone.
When did you first start writing?
Around 6 or 7.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I mostly grew up in Jersey City, NJ and it didn't really affect my writing. That said, I've spent a lot of time in the lovely state of Maryland and have written stories set there.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
My love for the craft of writing and the desire to tell the stories I've always wanted to tell.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Hitting the emotional milestones in a story I'm writing and seeing how it finally plays out.
What do your fans mean to you?
They mean the world and I'll always be grateful for their support. :-D
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
It's the first important step to my dream.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The excitement of discovering something new, whether it's a new story, people, events, and so on.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I spend a lot of my time boxing, hiking, working out, gaming, and listening to podcasts.
