Interview with Lisa M. Harley

What is your writing process?
I turn on my Spotify playlist for the book I'm working on...pour myself a diet coke...and have at it!
How do you approach cover design?
Designing a cover is not an easy process...thank goodness for my awesome cover designer! I call her and we talk about the story and what I vision for the cover and then she goes from there. She totally blows me away with how she can get exactly what I want in just a couple of conversations!
What do you read for pleasure?
I read a lot of contemporary romance and some erotica. I also enjoy reading some YA and Paranormal.
What is your e-reading device of choice?

Describe your desk
My lap! lol. I write on my couch or in bed on a black lap desk.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the country and my Destined Series is based in the country. I've had people from my hometown read it and tell me they recognize a lot of things in it.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing in October 2012. A group I'm in on Facebook had a prologue contest and I entered it. I didn't win...lol. But I did continue the story because everyone told me they wanted to hear the rest of the story.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I have several friends who are indie authors and they pushed me in that direction. Indie publishing is awesome! I'm very proud to say I'm an Indie Author!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Hearing people say that my books touched them in some way.
What do your fans mean to you?
Everything! Without them I wouldn't be here...I owe everything to them and try to thank them everyday!
What are you working on next?
I am working on Four Letters, which will be out at the end of September 2013 and then I'll be working on finishing the Destined Series.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My daughter and my family.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I work full time...and I have a child. I'm a busy, busy person!
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Recommendations from friends, usually.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My next book will be Destined to Forgive. This is the third book in the Destined Series and will center around Declan's best friend Eric. It will be all about the aftermath of the accident that took Declan's life and how that changed everything for Eric and his girlfriend Emma.
