Interview with Gregory Cook

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Knowing that I was granted another day to experience not only what life has to offer but also, desiring the chance to make something better for myself so that when the time comes, I need not worry about what might/might not happen come tomorrow.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I enjoy British comedies, video gaming, reading online articles and blogs, trying new recipes and listening to different genres of music.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Word of mouth and/or online suggestions.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I was around 12 years old. It was a short story about a turtle and an old owl who lived in a tree surrounding the swamp where lived the turtle and the two of them became good friends during their long lifetimes.
What is your writing process?
I write as the feeling comes to me. I seldom have a long range idea in mind because the story can -- and usually does -- change as the story is written out and sometimes, though not always, the main ideas I get are left to the corridors of my mind and seldom are given instance to sight.
What do you read for pleasure?
Biographies.
Describe your desk
Simple. Neat. Clear of distractions.
When did you first start writing?
When I was 12 years old.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Bridging the gap between what I dream, what I imagine and what I think is possible to ensure a reader will somehow be able to experience those same thoughts, emotions and realities.
What are you working on next?
My first ebook. Title as yet remains unknown.
