Interview with S. H. Timmins

Published 2015-02-28.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I have always been writing. I started when I was a teen, just writing short stories and poetry. Reading is an absolute passion for me, and I found that I had my own stories that needed to be told.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy of writing for me is the feeling that I am sharing a part of myself.
What are you working on next?
I will be working on the next two installments in this series. Dante's story will be next, followed by Logan's.
Who are your favorite authors?
I have so many authors that I love, and who have had a monumental impact on me. Maya Banks, Opal Carew, J.R. Ward, Gena Showalter, Tara Sivec, Alice Clayton, Emma Chase and so many more.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My family is my greatest inspiration and my reason for beginning and ending each day.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I am not writing, I am reading in my spare time.
What is your writing process?
My writing process is simply a quiet room and my imagination.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first author that I can remember having the biggest impact on me was, Anne Rice. Her books opened up my mind to a world I have never turned back from.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
My favorite books are ones that make me laugh, which is why I decided to inject as much humor as I could into my own book.
Describe your desk
My desk is a disaster, which is why my lap is usually where I do most of my writing.
