What motivated you to become an indie author?
Vanity? No, The difficulty of getting a book published any other way, unless you are already an established author

By giving so much information on how to go about the process.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Making money? Not really. I have always loved language, words, and the variety of ways one can use them. The nuances of the English language are infinite
What do your fans mean to you?
They are one of the most important motivating factors.
What are you working on next?
Another novel which begins in 1956 and will finish in the present.
Who are your favorite authors?
All the Classics - Jane Austin, Dickens etc., but also Donna Tartt, Tan Twang Eng, Julian Barnes, Edmund de Waal, There are so many good contemporary writers.
