What are your five favorite books, and why?
The King James Bible, My Utmost For His Highest, The Brothers Karamazov, Moby Dick, The Spiritual Man
When did you first start writing?
I dropped out of high school in the spring of 1977 and started working at a lumber yard. That summer I wrote my first poems. In a couple of years I wrote my first short story. I wrote a novella in 1981, but it was never published.
What's the story behind your latest book?
It's about hitchhiking in the United States and what the Lord is doing in my life on the road.
Who are your favorite authors?
Oswald Chambers, A.W. Tozer, Watchman Nee, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, T.S. Eliot, Gerard Manley Hopkins, John Milton
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Obeying the Lord.
