Interview with Isaac Hall II

When did you first start writing?
I began to write when I was in Elementary school, this was around the age of 10, I challenged myself to write 2000 words per day, as time went on I got a bit better.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The book I just currently wrote was -Tears Of Adversity-
It's about my life and challenges that I had to deal with in order to get where I am today, coming from an abusive home both verbally and physically, It was a hard environment to be apart of. However fighting and staying the course I was able to make it out of such situations in order to be a somewhat of a success.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I wanted to challenge myself to see if I was able to do it, from there I began to write with the mindset that I'm a professional and people are going to take heed to my product. With that being said, I knew the content of my writing had to improve if I wanted to be seen as a legitimate independent author.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords has allowed me to speak to a much larger audience that I couldn't have spoken to on my own, for that I'm forever grateful.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Having the ability to bring emotion over someone through your writing, that to me says that you have a great product and the content is also very appealing.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans are very minimal at the moment, however I feel they are very important to my success, I encourage their feedback because they are the ones consuming my product.
What are you working on next?
My next book will be a behind the scenes look at a sports news corporation, you'll see the anchors in front of the camera and how they carry themselves in a professional manner. Then you'll also what goes on when the anchors and broadcasters aren't at work, you'll be surprised as to what goes on when the camera is not around.
Who are your favorite authors?
I'm a huge fan of Stephen King as well as Maya Angelou.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The idea of being a success means that you can't be lazy, it's imperative that each day you get up with the right mind set in order to get closer to your goals. So with that being said, success inspires me...
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I enjoy reading and exercising.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I check out Amazon as sell as ibooks and also Smashwords.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I wrote was about a psycho maniac who had a major infatuation with petite women, he then lured them in with his good looks and charm. From there he'd murder them and destroy the body by placing it in a tub of acid, this would become a 4 part series.
What is your writing process?
I have to brain storm, write it out as far as the characters go, chapters, names of the chapters and then I try to elaborate off of the chapters the best way possible.
