Interview with Imireanu Vlad Stefan

Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story for me was Pokemon. I never watched the Tv show prior to that, so it literally blew my mind.
How do you approach cover design?
I don't really have a way of working per-say. I go with whatever vibe I get from reading the final version.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Clive Cussler- The lost empire, Lee Child- The Investigation, Clive Cussler- Spartan's gold, Sam Christer- The Stonehenge and Steve Berry- The Paris vendetta. I really can't say. I decide wheater I go through the whole book or leave it after 10-15 pages on the spot, it must really captivate me right from the get go.
What do you read for pleasure?
Usually Clive Cussler and Steve Berry novels. They are my two favorite authors.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My iPad
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Usually marketing the book on facebook and blogs
Describe your desk
I don't have one. Actually, I do but I hate it. I write everywhere.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in my native Romanian capital. Bucharest. It was named the Little Paris a while ago, so you could imagine.
When did you first start writing?
I started in high school, on a fictive newspaper distributed on facebook.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story is about a young man, former college basketball prodigy who loses all of his money and mind when he gets tangled up in a four-way death race with the police, Russian devil worshipers, a murderous psychopath and the Irish mob.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
My need to write. I love writing. I must write in order to live. And I really don't like doing anything else. Or working.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I'm actually new here. I hope Smashwords will greatly contribute to my upcoming success.
