Papers everywhere... Pens scattered all over... Ink and white out on my fingers... keyboard pads sinking from overuse...
When did you first start writing?
Probably back in high school since I discovered the joys of reading fictional stories.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Read some really good books and got inspired to write my own. Read a few bad ones and thought to myself, 'I could do better.' Alas, I'm still trying though.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Escaping into an imaginary world where as I breathe life into them, the characters' personalities shine through.
Who are your favorite authors?
Oh. My. God. I have far too many to mentions. Ugh!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Looking at my children and seeing the smiles on their faces... and seeing my hubby's sleeping face is always a treat.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Playing with the kiddos, cooking, exercising (trying), doing household chores... (Man, I'm a bore!)
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Buy... download free ebooks...
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Hmm... If I remember correctly, I think it was something about a girl wanting a pet dog. And that's as far as I can remember, sadly.
What is your writing process?
Make sure the kiddos are asleep and I'm done with some household chores, i.e. when kids nap and when it's after 10. I find myself working better when it's quiet. Once I've attained that, I sit in the computer and read a few books. When I get inspired enough, I start drafting a story outline. Then voila! (Well, at least I"m hoping will spew words right away.)
