What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My family. I love spending time with them.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I am not writing, I spend time with my family. I also like to read and listen to music.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I discover the ebooks that I read through e-mails, fellow readers and writers.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I was in the third grade. It was about a Dr. Seuss character. I don't remember the exact story, but I won the writing contest that was taking place.
What is your writing process?
I usually feel strongly about writing something. It starts with an idea and grows from there.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
One of the first stories I've ever read was Dick and Jane. I enjoyed reading them. They were simple yet engaging as they taught me the fundamentals of reading. It helped me to become a stronger reader.
How do you approach cover design?
I find someone that can design well.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
My five favorites are Spiral, Hopeless, What I didn't say, The Cradle Will Fall, and Forbidden Acts.
What do you read for pleasure?
I like to read romance and sometimes mystery.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My iphone.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I love writing because it opens up my mind to new worlds and people.
