Interview with Isabelle Dubois

What is your e-reading device of choice?
I love my Samsung tablet, personally. I had a lot of trouble with different e-readers in the past and my tablet can read just about anything.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I wanted to explore sensuality through the senses. We can become so dependent of our eyesight that we panic when we are in a situation where we can't rely on it, even though our other senses can be just as powerful. We all see physical appearance as a major part of attraction and I wanted to see what would happen if I took this away and what would happen if you throw in the uncertainty we all feel when we are deprived of our eyesight.
What do your fans mean to you?
The fans mean everything, without fans there is no success. From struggling writers to your top best sellers, none of us would be where we are without them.
What are you working on next?
Aside from my "Devil's Own" series, I am currently working on a series of adult fairy tales. Before Disney and the brother's Grimm, fairy tales were both dark and erotic and I would love the chance to bring some of these stories back to their roots.
Describe your desk
Honestly, it's kind of a mess. I like to think the garbage gnomes come out at night and rearrange everything when I'm not looking, though I think the experts would call this "denial".
