Interview with Jessica-Paige Davies

What are you working on next?
I am currently working on my latest book called Wisemans Blood, I hope to get it published one day :)
Who are your favorite authors?
Hard question, I love many authors work, but I have to say I really like L.J. Smith, Michael Scott and Lauren Kate
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To go out and about; see my horses and animals, see the nature and just generally get new inspiration each day :) Either that or I get cold ice in my bed haha
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I usually spend my time with my animals and just generally being outside; I love nature.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, the first story I ever wrote was called A Forbidden Memory (Later called Forbidden Memoirs)
What is your writing process?
I don't really have a process, I just write when I feel in the mood to write or when I get inspiration for something, I take a picture or jot something down in my note on my IPod.
What do you read for pleasure?
I read a lot of genres, but I like immersing myself into the world of fantasy.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My IPod, I never let it out of my sights haha
Describe your desk in one word
When did you first start writing?
I first started book writing a few years ago, but I first started writing when I was around 7 years old. I siffer with dyslexia, so I always found it hard to write (Still do sometimes), but I always strive to improve.
What's the story behind your latest book?
If I told you that, there wouldn't be much of a story haha
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Submerging myself in the world of my own creation.
What do your fans mean to you?
They mean everything to me. Without them, I most likely would have given up thinking I was useless, they have given me so much support and I thank them everyday.
What are your favorite books, and why?
Fallen by Lauren Kate - I love how she describes everything in so much detail, it draws the reader in and leaves you wanting more.
A Forbidden Game by L.J. Smith - In this book it's the unknown that draws me in, everything I read it, I feel like I'm a reading it for the first time.
The Alchemist by Michael Scott - I love how well developed the characters and plot are, you can easily tell that a lot of research has gone into it.
What motivated you to become an author?
I'm not sure really, I just had loads of ideas and I was always coming up with games, dances, plays and the alike. So decided to try writing a book simply because I adored reading and falling into another world, I love the feeling of being able to 'see' in a way the other world. I found it addicting.
