Writing gives me the opportunity to express myself. After I have completed a project I feel as though I have given some of my knowledge back. I have learned a lot of life's lessons on my journey and I enjoy sharing what I know.
What are you working on next?
I have not decided on my next book, but I think it will discuss the high level of crime in society.
Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite author is Sue Grafton. I love the way she writes and the stories she tells. Some day, I may try to write a detective story.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Life inspires me. I have things to do, places to go and people to see. I get up and have a full day every day because tomorrow is not promised.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I find books to download everywhere online and sometimes I buy a print book at the bookstore. I also like audio books. I have published one audio book that can be purchased on Audible and Amazon: Unemployed? Start A New You.It also shows up sometimes as Unemployed? Do Something as I am changing it over to this title.
How do you approach cover design?
I do them myself. I have a degree in Illustration from tThe University of the Arts. I build them in Photoshop. The cover is important. I have changed my covers a few times because I think of better ideas. I am always trying to improve the look of the covers.
What do you read for pleasure?
I like informational books, African American Fiction and good detective stories. I also spend a lot of time looking at fashion in magazines and online.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I like my iPad. I have downloaded apps for iBooks, Kindle and Nook. I do have a Nook, but I use the app on my iPad more.
