I was motivated to become an author at an early age, probably my pre-teen years when I first really started to enjoy books. I guess the motivation for being an independent author would be the ease of getting my work published; it allows for better control by the author.
When did you first start writing?
I've had many stories run through my head for years, since I was in my early teens. Only this year (2014) did I actually start to take notes and record most of the ideas for the purpose of producing books.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords is by far the easiest site I’ve found for anyone self-publishing. It’s easy to upload your manuscript and have it reformatted into all of the forms used to for various reading devices. They also get your work listed on search engines and everything they do requires no fee upfront; they only make money if your work sells. And they don’t take advantage of self-publishers with outrageous fees when you do sell your works.
Smashwords Interviews are created by the profiled author, publisher or reader.
