Interview with Jack Pagliante

Published 2014-03-06.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Number 1, I think will have to be the Harry Potter series, specifically the Goblet of Fire. Those were the books that got me into writing and reading, so they will always have a special place in my heart. Number 2 would have to be the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, including the Hobbit, which I read first. Number 3, is Narnia, specifically Prince Caspian, the book that my friends and I reenacted all out childhood. Number 4, the A Song of Ice and Fire series, and specifically again A Storm of Swords. Finally, I think number five should be The Name of the Wind, kudos to you Mr. Rothfuss.
What do you read for pleasure?
Anything that takes me away from reality.
When did you first start writing?
Seventh grade, after reading Harry Potter over that summer. I wrote my first book on a spiral notebook and it was called: The Secret Land of Tacora. Since then, I have written 5 novels.
What's the story behind your latest book?
A pair of magicians that are able to control real magic decide to play a game in a world between the dimensions of reality that sits beneath Stonehenge and is called the Collegium, one of Merlin's greatest creations.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Never growing up.
