When did you start writing?
2013
How do you approach cover design?
I searched every website I could find with pre-made covers. I studied my favorite author's covers. I browed stock photo websites until I couldn't hold my eyes open anymore. I had no idea how to create one on my own. I used all the covers I found to find what I liked and didn't like. In the end, I decided to have someone make my covers for me.
Why do you write?
I write because I want to make others feel the way books have made me feel. They've given me hope, courage, dreams. I want to do that for someone else.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I use my Nook. Which also has the Kindle app, iBooks app, and Google Books app downloaded on it. This way I can read anything.
Do you have a favorite place to write or can you write anywhere?
As long as my mind isn't distracted by my real life, I can write just about anywhere. If I had to choose, I would prefer my house.
How did you decide you wanted to publish?
Why not? Millions of people enjoy reading. I could be one more option for them.
Who are your favorite authors?
Samantha Young, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Cassia Leo, Abbi Glines, Jamie McGuire, Mary Billiter, and Dana Volney. I have more, but these ones are amazing!
What is your favorite television drama?
Oh gosh where do I begin...Reign, Vampire Diaries, Graceland, Chasing Life, SOA, and Revenge. The list could go on!
How long does it take you to write a book?
Since I don't have everything down to perfection yet, it takes me longer than most people. Around 4-6 months.
So far, what book has been the hardest to write? Why?
The first book in my first series. This is the most important book to me right now. The way someone interprets my writing, will determine if they want to continue reading the series.
If you could give any advice to an aspiring author, what would it be?
If this is your dream, don't give up. Any dream takes hard work and dedication. Rejection can only make you stronger.
