Interview with J.H. Carnathan

What is the themes of this novel about?
This novel is about an impression of loss. It's about the ghost in the room. A sin that you can't escape from. Proudly, it is a study into the metaphysics of absent love. Purgatorium is like a lucid dream filled with feelings of sadness and regrets. It's Solitary atmosphere brings unknown dimensions to this world almost like learning to live in the wilderness .

This book is like sitting in a feeling of sin. There are two themes to this novel. One of them is that second chances exist to the person who wants it the most. The other theme is just about this part of life and love that the human brain can't wrap itself around: wanting to act to resolve a mistake knowing the final resolution may not be the right one. People do sin and at times they can't escape from it. It darkens their soul to the point where they feel they can't come back. Like the main protagonist, he struggles with cheating to get what he wants out of life. Either it be on his wife or at a card game. His cheating goes hand in hand with his laziness as he chooses to give up on a race based on thinking that he isn't good enough or towards a novel he cant seem to finish writing.
