Interview with Jean Crawford Evans

What's the story behind your latest book?
A few years back I developed gluten intolerance, thanks to another autoimmune disorder I have (Graves' Disease) and life has been very interesting since, esp since my husband has no issues. So the search was on to make our favorite recipes gluten free for me and still yummy for him.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Being able to share my recipes with everyone.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Oh boy, I have to pick 5??? Not sure I can do that I have so many favorites. I tend to read in cycles. Right now I am in my science fiction, fantasy and murder mystery cycle. Been reading a lot of Eric Flint, David Drake, Mercedes Lackey and Sue Ann Jaffarian to name a few authors. I will probably go onto true life stories and history for my next cycle, so will see where that leads.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I use Kindle on my smartphone. It is nice to have so many books at my fingertips.
Describe your desk
Um, I would like to plead the 5th on that LOL

My favorite recipes made gluten free. I grew up with snickerdoodles, molasses crinkles and oatmeal cookies as treats, so when I developed gluten intolerance I set out to recreate them. I succeeded and then some, non-GF folk can't tell the difference between the original and gluten-free versions.
