Interview with Jebidiah McGregor

Describe your desk
Messy, rickety and broken. I'd get a new one, but I despise IKEA.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
In the Ozark mountains of Arkansas. Real "Summer of the Monkeys" area. It didn't influence my writing at all. I'm just beginning as a writer now that I'm old and have nothing better to do.
When did you first start writing?
About two weeks ago.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I'm going to write some journals based on my life.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
What's indie mean? Are we talking about a race? A state? An archeologist?

I don't know.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I haven't had any success as a writer yet.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Answering questions like these, I suppose.
What do your fans mean to you?
They keep me cool. It gets pretty hot here.
What are you working on next?
A bottle of jack.
Who are your favorite authors?
Doctor Phil writes some good stuff.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The need to go to the bathroom. And bacon.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Yelling at the kids to get off my lawn.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I just discovered them today when I signed up to this page. October 18,2016
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes. I'm working on it right now.
What is your writing process?
Turn on the computer and type.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I can't remember, that was 70 years ago, at least.
How do you approach cover design?
My wife used to knit the afghans, so you have to ask her.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
I like science fiction novels. They're good escapism from the problems of today.
What do you read for pleasure?
Science fiction or fantasy.

I like Conan. The Barbarian, not Doyle.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My laptop, I guess.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Does not apply. Next.
