Interview with Jeff Lowman

When did you first start writing?
I really began in Elementary school. I can remember rewriting Friday the 13th, while inserting my friends in to the story. I would also use a small typewriter to rewrite films I liked at the time, changing the dialogue to suit what I thought at the time was better structure.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story for the most part is autobiographical, When I say for the most part it's because it's how I viewed my father and anytime you view someone in your own way, there will obviously be different viewpoints. Everything is accurate and truthful, but whereas I may have one take on him, my brothers may have another.
What are you working on next?
A mafia book called "How to Be a Gangster," it's sort of a tongue-in-cheek book about how the Mafia has changed, how to dress and act like a gangster, while sprinkling the historical side of organized crime.
What do your fans mean to you?
They mean the world. Without them, who'd read my books? If one person enjoys or gets something out of it, then I'm a happy guy.
