Interview with Jessie Walton

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I love to let my imagination soar! When I write I fell like I am not bound by an restraints. I create a character, I give him a personality and then put myself in his shoes. I really surprise myself by playing the role of many characters in just one day of writing.
What do your fans mean to you?
I would never label anyone as a fan. I think to highly of everyone who has took the time to read my books and drop me a line. They are the ones who make my hobby worthwhile.
What are you working on next?
I work on several different projects at one time, it is hard to pin point what will come next. It could be fantasy, fiction, or self help.
Who are your favorite authors?
Stephen King, J.R.R. Tolkien, Robert Kirkman
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The fact that I see each day as a new adventure and I would hate to miss it.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I love to watch movies, playing on Facebook and best of all spending time with my family.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Mainly just word of mouth, sometimes I do a search through Goodreads for anything new that is coming up.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes I do, it was about a troubled teen in high school. I never published the book and the whole story was lost a long time ago.
How do you approach cover design?
I figure out who the book is going to center around. Then I just build from there and edit along the way.
What do you read for pleasure?
Mainly Walking Dead comics, although recently I have gotten into the novels.
