What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Curiosity. Something could be happening and I may miss it!!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I read, cook, I love doing embroidery.
I spend time with my husband/
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Either by word of mouth, or by just browsing what is available at the online boostores.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes it was a children's story. It was called The Adventures of Detective Jitz and his side kick Rennie. Cat and dog detective who solved crimes on the farm..
What is your writing process?
I write with a Fountain pen in a handmade leather bound refillable journal. I love the feel and flow of the pen on the paper. I can lose myself for hours and sometimes have no clue as to what I wrote til I read it back.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
It would have been an Enid Blyton book when I was a child. I seriously don't remember not reading
How do you approach cover design?
I take my time and look for an image that not only has to do with the story but that it appeals to ME as a reader. I have bought numerous books simply because I fell in love with the cover. I want to feel that with my own covers.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Lady of Hay by Barbara Erskine - it is simply superb, it stayed with me for years, I read it back in the 80's when it was first released and have since read it many times.
It by Stephen King.. To this day I love this book but HATE Clowns!
Blood Moon by Lisa Kessler...the wickedest werewolves around..

What do you read for pleasure?
I love Paranormal supernatural, Horror is always a go to for me. I love a good fright!!
But it depends what I am writing, If I am writing a nice witch story, then I will read a gut churning horror, If I am writing something erotic, then I read a paranormal..
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Love my kindle Fire!
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Still learning those.so not real sure yet.
Word of mouth in my local community has been a blast!
Describe your desk
It is a small square table, situated in the window of a small cafe, called Number 10. I tend to do 99% of my writing sitting there having a coffee and watching the world go by. I love it.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up on a hop/fruit farm in Westerway Tasmania, Australia.
I think it influences my writing everyday, by how I feel about my surroundings.
I need to be able to see trees, hear the birds sing, hear the wind whistle through the branches. I love life because of my upbringing.
When did you first start writing?
I have always put pen to paper. But I suppose seriously it would only be 6 months ago, I picked up a short story I had written years ago and ran with it and here I am today.
What's the story behind your latest book?
Witches The Chronicles of #10 ... I was sitting in my writing spot at the small cafe called Number 10 and the girls that work there and the customers where cackling and laughing and having a good old time. One of them jokingly said, there must be a witch story there somewhere and well 2 months later Witches is about to be released.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I really wanted to get my stories out there and I could not afford to publish my books any other way. I could not find a traditional publisher and I had a lot of indie author friends so i though what did I have to lose.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords have made it so easy to get out there! My books can be found all around the world because of Smashwords!!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I love the the actual art of writing, I love how i feel when I pick up my fountain pen, it is a heavy marble pen, the leather journal smells amazing.
What do your fans mean to you?
The fans I have so far are good friends, so their support means the world to me, I hope any fans I gain down the track will become good friends as well!
What are you working on next?
I am currently working on 'Jiana's Curse' book 2 in the Azore's Quest series.
It is erotic fantasy.
