Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the Apartheid era in South Africa and although we were regarded as a middle class family, my parents always encouraged us to do great things with the resources we had. I have always been a good speaker and writer during my schooling years and through my years of experience in the workplace, I discovered that I have a gift in expressing myself verbally as well as theoretically. I was told at most of my talks and seminars, that I have an amazing charismatic presence with my audience. I applied this is my writing as I feel I express the same trait on paper.

I have a family history of Diabetes and was diagnosed with the condition at a very young age. The constant questions, confusion and lack of knowledge prompted me to write this book.

It allows us to see our full potential through good, healthy habits and lifestyle changes. My slogan is..."Train the Brain and consistency will flow naturally"
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I don't need a reason to get out of bed as I love the mystery of what the day brings, other than the set goals. The fact that I wake up each morning makes me feel blessed. I never see the glass half full or half empty, I see the possibilities of the glass. I am a grateful person and never lose sight of the important things.
What do you read for pleasure?
I love books that educates me in areas that is not familiar to me or that I'm not completely clued up with
What do you think is important in life
I think that your spiritual balance, family and good friends are important, but mostly I think that you need to decide what it is that makes you balanced and fulfilled. There is a fine line between what is important in your life versus what is needed and necessary in your life.
