I've always found writing very cathartic and a good form of escapism. I also love connecting with people through my own experiences.
What do your fans mean to you?
Everything! There's no feeling like your work being received and appreciated. It both humbles and inspires me to write more.
What are you working on next?
A no nonsense, self help guide to health and happiness.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My cat Oscar wakes me up at 5am! I used to have two but lost my beloved Freud earlier this year. I'm definitely a morning person! I always start the day by listing my blessings in my gratitude journal with a cup of coffee. If you start each day on a positive note and with gratitude, you will be given more to be grateful for throughout the day.
What is your writing process?
I always jot down ideas, however small. My bag and phone are full of random notes! I wait for inspiration to strike (which thankfully it always does) and then start putting the pieces together, much like a jigsaw puzzle. I'm ususally working on one project or another as I firmly believe that energy creates energy. 'What do you do when you don't feel like writing?' Write anyway! It's important to persevere and stay focused in any given field.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
When opportunity isn't knocking you must build a door! If you have a message to deliver you should do it, especially when it's something you believe in and feel passionately about. Life is what you make it. Self publishing is an amazing platform for writers everywhere to get their work seen and voice heard.
