Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Yes, It was "Chosen" by Denise Grover Swank. I never cared about reading as a child or young adult, up until then. Something about her writing captivated me.
How do you approach cover design?
I have one person who I entrust to relay my story in picture... I have a cover model for Kaycee, I describe to Stephen ( Darkmantle Designs) what I'm thinking and he rolls with it, he's awesome.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
I love the Beautiful Mess Series, by TK Leigh.

What do you read for pleasure?
romance/suspense/erotica

When did you first start writing?
I started writing in 2014
What's the story behind your latest book?
Internet love affair-
Broken girl, husband abusive, meets man on social media and become friends. He teaches her how to become independent, follow her dreams, and that she's worthy of being loved and cherished, something she had always been told she wasn't. She fell in love. Decided to follow her dreams..
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Another Indie, Kris Calvert Pottorf. I met her with a group of Kentucky Indie Authors at Pens on Fire, and she encouraged me..."What do you have to loose?"
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
By reaching places I was unable to reach.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Being able to help my readers escape the stresses of the real world, even if for a moment while reading my stories.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans are the reason I write. Plain and simple. It's for them.
I have always been a simple country girl, I will never forget where I came from, who has helped me climb this latter and loved, supported, and encouraged me along the way.

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
COFFEE
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I also paint with oils.
I enjoy setting in front of a blank canvas and telling my story through the stroke of my brush.
I write poetry every once in a while, when the mood strikes.

Word of mouth, through friends and authors

What is your writing process?
I am what we call in this art... "A hipster"
I shoot from the hip, no outlines, just my notebook with notes and facts and my imagination.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Good question,,,, one I wish I knew the answer. Writing the story is the easy part for me, marketing and promoting,not so much. I have never been comfortable "tooting" my own horn. I also know Rome wasn't build in a day and it takes time to grow a fan base and audience. In all honesty I would love to have someone do this part for me.
Describe your desk
My desk? Simple...old wooden desk, laptop, printer, and Iphone dock.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was raised in a very low income household, the youngest of four girls.
I was a loner, didn't have many toys, but I had a fabulous imagination.... and still do.
