Interview with Kate Dempsey

What are you working on next?
I am excited to be currently completing a poetry collection requested by a major Irish publisher.
Who are your favorite authors?
My favourite authors would vary from day to day. I read a wide variety of genres too. I love Kate Atkinson and Barbara Kingsolver and have just started getting into Louise Erdrich - The Roundhouse. I am a fan of the crime novels of Ian Rankin and the sci fi of Iain M Banks as well as his non-sci fi under Iain Banks. For poetry I read widely but always come back to Wendy Cope and ee cummings.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I work full time and value my spare time to write.
