What is your e-reading device of choice?
My e-reading device of choice is the Kindle.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to complete the crossword puzzle from our local newspaper.
What is your favorite slogan, quote or motto?
I advise others and myself to "lead with your gifts". When I start a conversation in my head about my life with my strengths and my gifts as the frameworks, I see unlimited opportunities. Thinking of myself as a uniquely gifted person reframes my past, present and future.
What's the story behind your latest book?
YOU are the Revolution was inspired by the racial inequalities in education revealed by the COVID 19 Pandemic. This book encourages parents of Black Children to reframe the purpose of education to focus on well-being. Given the disparities Black Children face in education and in society, it is important to start any learning process with personal well-being as a learning goal.
