Interview with LaSean Rinique

What motivated you to become an indie author?
What motivated me to become an indie author was the thought of freedom and creativity! I am so excited that I am able to share my inner thoughts as well as my true feelings. Becoming an Indie author also affords me a chance to gift books to my target audience without loss.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Sharing information that was taught to me is the greatest joy of writing. It also stands me above those in my field that are not authors as I am now viewed as an expert!
What do your fans mean to you?
They mean the air that I breathe!
Without my God sent fans, I would not be able to move a unit.
What are you working on next?
Great question! I have 3 more projects that I am excited to unveil by Feb 14 2015! I am so excited to be in the process of several audio projects as well!
Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite authors are:
Dr. Iyanla Vanzant
Les Brown
Brian Tracey
Thom Rainer
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Knowing that I can make a difference in peoples lives makes it all worth it. It is a blessing to be able to monetize from what you enjoy doing.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Jamaica Queens NY and the friendships I was blessed with has enabled me to be super creative. I don't know if it was the theater by the grass with Tania Martin, Stephanie Dixon, Navis K, Odette Hall, Yashema Mobley, Tara Simms or Billie Waters or if it was the TV series we had outside (our imaginary soap operas) With the aforementioned friends inclusive of Danielle Stith, Tremaine Butler, Andre Patterson, Amina Rogers, and many many others. We knew how to have fun and to this day, we have memories!!! What is even funnier than this, my brothers Ronnie and Omar were subjected to fashion shows and concerts performed by my cousins Veronica, Rhonda, Belinda and Tania. I tell you, it was an amazing neighborhood with amazing memories!
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes I do! I was in 1st grade and we had to write a book as a project in school. My book was called Nicalura and was dedicated to my mom. It was about a pig, duck, princess and a cat and they lived in a kingdom that magically gifted people with sharing and love. The illustration was hilarious- aaaah the eyes of a babe!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I am not writing, I am spending quality time with my family and traveling.
In addition to that, I am a Transformational Coach helping others to grab their gifts deep inside.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Thus far, Social Media has been amazing as it relates to marketing my book "Congratulations! You Just Lost Your J.O.B". The ability to autoschedule your messages and be as creative as your mind takes you is nothing short of amazing.
I also talk to everyone about my book and have been willing to share it as a gift to get more exposure.
