Interview with Lachesha W.B.

What do you read for pleasure?
I read fantasy, mystery, thriller, horror, comedy, romance, and action. I will read anything that catches my attention in the first few pages.
How do you approach cover design?
I try to tell part of my story on my cover.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
As a child, we moved around a lot. Normally, I'd write about my surroundings. Then as I got older I started turning my dreams into stories. When I dream something crazy I will make up things to add to it, turning each dream into a chapter in my stories.
When did you first start writing?
Very young. I won a writing contest in the second grade and was unstoppable after that.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
My husband is my motivation for many of the things I do, but especially with become an actual author. He loves my work and wanted me to publish it. I did the traditional‚Äč publishing thing with the first book and found that self-publishing is much easier, faster, and cheaper.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Being able to step inside my imagination for hours at a time is awesome. My worlds are so crazy at times that even after I am done writing I am thinking about them or talking about them to my husband. I love creating. I paint, draw, build and sculpt and love it all.
What are you working on next?
I am working on the Deglon Blood series, books three and four. Very excited to introduce them soon.
Who are your favorite authors?
Anne Rice and Stephen king
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My beautiful family‚Äč. I am a proud mother of 4 beautiful girls and a wonderful husband.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I homeschool my ladies and sell crafts that I make. So, I am always busy.
