When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I spend fare amount of time reading about what is happening in the world. I am keenly interested in current events that are going to shape the future. Also I spend time sharpening my skills as a writer by reading books of the classic authors, analyzing contemporary fiction and staying in touch with the current trends.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I go to different eBook websites.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes I do. The first story I ever wrote became part of my first novel named Brides and is available now.
What is your writing process?
I visualize the scenes while I am doing other chores during the day and let the process ferment in my head until the whole scene becomes real to me. Writing it out is a snap after that.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
There are too many stories that have impacted me. The story about the partition of India haunted me and became my book Mayhem.
How do you approach cover design?
It should be simple, attractive, attention grabbing and relate to the subject matter of the book.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
'War and peace' for its expanse
'Atlas Shrugged' for its philosophy
'Shantaram' for the descriptive details
'The Brothers Karmazov' for the depth of psychology
'Dr Zhivago' for the poignancy
What do you read for pleasure?
Novels, Poetry, articles on Politics and current events
What is your e-reading device of choice?
iPad
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I have not found one yet but am looking at the available options
