What's the story behind your latest book?
Among the greatest challenge in the 21st century is the high level of unemployment and poverty that usually brings about a negative influence in our society. Entrepreneurship is a major solution to the problems of poverty and unemployment in our society. Business is about creating impact by providing goods and services that influence the lives of people daily. I have written this book because of the burning desire to raise company owners. My Life Passion is to raise wealthy and successful people for the Kingdom Of God and one of the core strategies to achieving this life mission is Entrepreneurship Development. Entrepreneurship development should be a core agenda of the Government of any Nation that wants to achieve economic success, reduce the level of crime and social vices. The syllabus of our educational system has to change to fit in entrepreneurship development and financial education ,because we have stepped into a new age where certificate doesn’t speak but potentials, talent and intellectual capacity are the capital of this new age. In our quest for Economic Transformation we must never underestimate the place of entrepreneurship development especially startups and small businesses. It is Profits from business and not salary from jobs that help to drive the economy. Before the advent of the colonial masters ,our forefathers had their own business, they were either goldsmith, farmers, traders, carpenter and so on, but when the colonial masters came to us they introduced certificate system and mentality, after they have departed we still carry on that same system, that is why our Institutions keep producing Hundreds of thousands of graduates yearly into the labour market who are thought to be job seekers when they have got the potentials to be business owners. This book has been packaged to shift your mentality from job seeking to job creation and wealth generation. One way to measure the value of entrepreneurship is to look at the impact of venture backed companies in the context of the overall public stock market all over the world. It is not salaries from jobs but profits from business that drives the Economy. Relatively Young companies such as Microsoft, Apple, Google, Facebook, MTN, Dangote, Arik Airline ,Nokia, Peace Mass Transit are huge drivers in the global Economy. Remarkably, none of these companies even existed mere thirty years ago. These are the type of companies that result in the creation of thousands upon thousands of new jobs. Just as importantly they affect our lives in a way that enables us all to conduct our daily business in a more efficient and productive manner.
The global economic recession or financial crisis did not stop the rise of the companies listed above, because whenever there is a crisis or recession, it is only paving a way for new businesses, ideas, innovation and creativity and that is what entrepreneurship is all about. The problems of our continent today are great opportunities for the future. It is a promising thriving ground for aspiring entrepreneurs. The creation of a business from the embryo of a concept is the genius of the entrepreneur. But, unlike so many things in Life, there are no boundaries as to who can be an entrepreneur .You can be a college student, civil servant, banker, doctor, lawyer or any other profession. Know this, when you don’t step out you can’t step up. How will you feel when you hear testimonies that what you are doing has contributed massively to the transformation of several lives across the world? The level at which you solve problems is the level at which you will be rewarded. In any case, I have made up my mind not to rest until I become a global authority in my field; and guess what; it’s just a matter of time. A business is one of the most powerful assets to own because you can benefit from tax advantages, leverage people to increase your cash flow, have control of your operation and even pass on the business to your children(you cannot pass your employment on to them) . The richest people in the world build businesses. Examples are Mark Zuckerberg ,Founder of Facebook, Thomas Edison, Founder of General Electric, Sam Maduka Onyishi, Founder Peace Mass Transit; and Sergey Brin, Founder of Google. Do you want to start a business, or you want to succeed as a young CEO, business man or woman? Then let’s go! I will be relating with you as a coach? Trust me and be rest assured that together we shall succeed!
