Interview with Lizelle Jacobs

What's the story behind your latest book?
I love my business and wanted to share my success story with others who also dream of starting their own guest house.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Johannesburg. A large city in South Africa. We did not live in mid town, but close to the city. Our neighborhood was surrounded with fields and "koppies" (small mountains).
Currently I live in a small town in the North of South Africa, Modimolle (we still call it Nylstroom - the old name).
How it influenced me? I was always busy.. I never had time to write. That's why I only started in my 40's.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My work and my family. My husband and I have 4 children. They are my inspiration to be successful.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I manage our household, run a guest house and enjoy the outdoors.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I started enjoying story books after reading Karen Kingsbury's books. I can't remember which book was the first, but her books changed my life in many ways.
What do you read for pleasure?
Robert Kiyosaki's books on business
Describe your desk
Wimpy or any nice coffee shop.
Ok, I do have a desk in my office, it is not neat, so I prefer to be out somewhere else.
