Interview with Ross Lombardi

What is your e-reading device of choice?
My PC,
I know its a non-portible tower, but it is where I spend the vast amount of all my time and do the most reading.
I do also have an Amazon Fire which although I do use, I do not use nearly as often to read as I do my PC!
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I'll let you know, I have not had ANY success yet!

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Mosty Redcar
Before the age of 11 mostly in the Middle East travelling with my fathers work!

The biggest effect on my writing is the constant telling me by people not to bother trying to write because I am a bit thick.

Nothing gets me to do anyone more than someone looking down on me and saying "You can't do that!"
I need fuel for the "anger tank" to do anything!

If you want to make me get bored and quit,
then be supportive, instead!
When did you first start writing?
About 11 to 12 ish
Up to about a year earlier, i was practically illiterate.

I was happy not bothering ever trying to learn to read,
until enough people said I couldn't ever learn to read!

That pissed me off enough to prove them all wrong!
What's the story behind your latest book?
A murder in an alternative version of Victorian History,
Where Britain is a Republic!
(So, no Queen Victoria!)

It is on only a very short intro a world I plan to both expand on and write a whole series about!
What motivated you to become an indie author?
No other bugger would hire or publish me!
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
It hasn't

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
It is Not so much a joy or pleasure,

And More of a constant compulsion and addiction that is slowly killing me....
