Interview with M. W. Kent

What are you working on next?
The story continues and i'm a third of the way through...even i'm getting worried for Jack and his friends.
Who are your favorite authors?
They have to be J.R.R.Tolkien and T.H.White,,plus many more but they certainly influenced me. I mustn't forget Neil Gamain.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Writing is a part time passion...have to live by repairing and conserving old and historic buildings.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Browsing mainly and reviewing the suggested books.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes I do....called The Children of the Jewels. Not looked at it for years but i'm sure it was very poor...
When did you first start writing?
I wrote at school, but it was only when i left and realised i had a passion for writing and enjoyed it (mostly) that i did it in earnest.
What's the story behind your latest book?
That there is magic and mystery in our world and anyone's life can be changed by a simple act of fate.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Without Smashwords my story would probably languish on my computer...
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
When the story writes itself...my hands guide the pen but the words seem to come from nowhere...not all the time though..
What is your writing process?
I write as and when i can...i have a busy life with work and family and, at the moment, decorating, so i squeeze it in during times of peace and quiet.
