Interview with Mae Rennox

Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I wish. I've been writing stories since I was very young, maybe 5 or 6, so a lot of my stories have been forgotten along the way.
What do you read for pleasure?
Anything. I love to read and to learn, but mythology and fantasy are definitely among my favourites.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
It's a tie between my iPad and Kobo Mini.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I'm an only child who grew up on a farm out in the country. This forced me to develop a pretty extensive imagination from a young age and now it doesn't feel like I write characters or stories, but like they write themselves. For me writing isn't a choice, it's who I am, what I do.
When did you first start writing?
I've been writing since childhood but I got really serious about it in early high school.
