Interview with Mosetsana Jane Malatjie

What inspired me to write this book?
I started writing this book September 2012. Because I met a lot of people especially the youth who were faced with the same challenges I faced years ago. Which is relying on someone because you need to have a future, a lot of people become addicted and abused because they can’t do anything for themselves,

At first when you become hooked in this situations it feels good, you feel like you have everything and that you are special.
But after some time or years you realize that you have wasted years doing nothing, trying to be someone you are not, living someone’s dream and you sit there thinking it’s too late to do anything, it is too late to say what you want because you have let someone to think for you.
We are not perfect, we all make mistakes, it does not matter what sins you committed what matters is when you fall down what do you do? Do you stay down and blame yourself and the world or do you stand up dust yourself and ask God to lead you. We are fearfully and wonderfully made, we must not let addictions, poverty, illness and negative people to determine our future
When did you first start writing?
I started writing this book September 2012
Why did you choose to use the title "Behind the smile"?
Because every BEHIND THE SMILE is sometimes a story of a conquered war against fear that often holds people captive! We must refuse to let circumstances of life hold our life captive!
What do you hope to achieve with this book?
I hope that people will know that what follows the word” I AM will come looking for you” if you say I am an addict, poor, nobody, worthless, unloved that’s what you will be.
But if you say I am talented, Blessed, healthy, prosperous that’s what you will be
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
This is my first book with Smashwords. I don't know what the future holds but I believe it is bright. I letting God to do the rest now, because I have done what I can.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy is when you see your final product. I knew them that I have succeeded, I did not give up.
What do your fans mean to you?
They mean a lot to me, because without them my book means nothing. but when you get feedback. positive or negative about your book, you know they care.
Why should people read your book?
So that they know that No matter how poor you are in life, it does not mean you will remain like that until you die. If we stop trying to be someone we are not and be who God created us to be. Stop confessing negative things, no matter what situation you find yourself in. Be and say positive things, you will eventually reap positive rewards. Even if you are poor do not say you are poor. The Bible tells us that we must seek first the “Kingdom of God and its righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto us.” People can condemn you. They can say negative things about you, and they can even say you can’t bear children.
• But what you believe depends solely on you. Whose report will you believe? Would you believe God or people?
Who are your favorite authors?
Robert T. Kiyosaki (Rich dad Poor dad)
Thami Ngobeni (My Sacred Spaces)
Joel Osteen and many more...
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Knowing that there is a God out there, who knew me before I was conceived. My husband and my three kids. and knowing that if I don't get out of bed my talents will die.
What's the book is all about?
My book is all about a girl whose name was Rangy. She grew up in a poor family and was brought up by a single mother with four daughters and two brothers of whom the elder brother passed away. Rangy met this funny loving guy whose name was Nichol and who was a little bit older than she was. They got married and they both moved in into Nichol's house. He changed her, made her do everything he wanted. She did not have a say in their marriage. He disrespected her and cheated on her.
