Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first non-chrildrens book I remember reading was The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. I got it from my school library in the 8th grade, and that is what sparked my love for romance books. Since then, I've been reading any and everything I can get my hands on.
How do you approach cover design?
I have a cover designer, Laura Heritage, at P.S. Cover Designs. I spend enough time trying to write and promote. If I had to design my own covers, I'd probably go crazy.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
5 - The Infernal Devices Trilogy by Cassandra Clare. Just the feels from this book series, OMG. I love the world. I love the romance. I love how conflicted my heart feels when I read this series. It's so heart breaking, and happy at the same time. I can never get enough of these books.
4- Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. I love all of Colleen's books, but Hopeless is my favorite. Her writing style is so unique. And this book starts out SO HAPPY. I didn't expect the dark twist. And DEAN. HOLDER. Need I say more? Didn't think so. ;)
3- The Darkest Minds Trilogy by Alexandra Bracken. How can a book be dark and happy at the same time? This book is heartbreaking, addicting, and just so beautifully written. This series is definitely one of the best dystopians I've ever read.
2- Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. This book... Just... Augh... So good. And it makes me wish my husband had an English accent, LOL. Definitely one of the best contemporary romance books EVER.
1- The Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan. This is the spin-off series from the Percy Jackson Series. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. These books are those kind of books you can read over and over and over again. You will NEVER get bored. The adventures are great. And you can't help but LOVE Percy and Annabeth. Just... AMAZING.

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
