Interview with Stephen Misori

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
My name is Steve Mark Misori and I grew up in Kamae village, Rakwaro of Homa bay county in Kenya.

As a young boy, I looked at my village and realised it was slowly earning the title, 'A FAILED VILLAGE.' I wanted to address this mess through art and I came up with the topic line, 'Village under siege' which highlights the village threats and desires.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The book village under siege gives a serious word for word trip in a village immersed in both social and religious challenges. It hints the importance of fighting ignorance as a sure way of curbing the social ills.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
At least as a writer, I am impressed when people read and react to my work. It humbles me completely. I feel great in the context of simplicity.
