Interview with K.L. Jones

What is your writing process?
My writing process is simple.

1. Come up with an idea
2. Plan/plot out what goes in what chapter.
3. Do any research that might need to be done.
4. Start writing
5. Do more research as your idea changes
What do you read for pleasure?
I absolutely love romance novels, even the "trashy" ones. But ones involving the supernatural in a modern setting is the icing on the cake... however I've never touched the Twilight series.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I have two Kindles for this. A generation one Kindle and the one that plays music and have a keyboard, but is still experimental with the browser.
Describe your desk
It's my dining table with my kitten sleeping next or in front of my laptop. Sometimes I'm in a recliner with said kitten on my side.
When did you first start writing?
The earliest story I can remember writing was in elementary school during the early 90s. It was a parody of Scooby Doo featuring myself and my classmates. I even drew the pictures for it.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story behind Kinder Wonderland is that I fell in love with a lot of the characters from Kinder Wasteland and I didn't want them to fade off. The book itself is a shout-out to a lot of things wrong in different government and religious settings and how even the smallest action can result in something great.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I guess the motivation was losing my mother and my job. I needed something to do to keep my depression and anxiety away and writing seems to do the trick. Also, I always have a story to tell.
What are you working on next?
I'm working on the sequel to Kinder Wasteland right now while planning out an erotic series.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My husband and my cat mostly. But also my friends, even though they live states- and sometimes- hemispheres away.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I'm not writing, I'm playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf or watching my favorite Youtuber, Markiplier. If not in the mood for electronic distractions, I'm playing with my cat or knitting.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Browse the Kindle books for anything free.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I don't remember too much of it, but it was a Scooby Doo parody with my classmates in elementary school.
