Interview with Mitchell Kuhn

Published 2015-05-19.
What do you read for pleasure?
I enjoy a wide variety of genres including comedy, adventure, history, and mystery. But without question, my favorite areas of interest deal with espionage and political intrigue.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
The Nook.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
It has to be the reader recommending my book to their friends and colleagues. But since 'Chaos' is my first novel, I'm in no position to make a judgement as to the most effective marketing technique I should be utilizing.
Describe your desk
When we're entertaining guests my roll-top desk is either spotless or closed. However, when I'm writing or doing other paperwork I would best describe the desk top as organized chaos.
When did you first start writing?
Retirement is boring, especially if your working years were active ones. Golf is fun. Playing five days a week though is both physically taxing and mentally lacking. Don't get me wrong, one has to concentrate on every shot when playing golf, but the mental stimulation I craved for was missing.
Last year I thought of starting a political blog to satisfy my addiction to politics, and use it as a vehicle to express my perspective on the unfortunate, uncompromising state of affairs in Washington D.C. After considerable internal debate I opted to write a novel instead. Hopefully "Chaos" will stimulate positive change and end the malicious atmosphere permeating our society.
Short answer: February 2014
What are you working on next?
My next book "The Sounds of Sirens" is a novel based on reality; a comedy of a newly retired couple in search of a 55+ Active Adult Community.
