Interview with Mohamed Abdelaziz

What's the story behind your latest book?
It's about how we are all related one way or the other, and how we can see each other in a wrong way when depending on first impression only..
When did you first start writing?
When I was in fifth grade, just a journal at that time.. Didn't start to write fiction till i was in secondary school
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Because I faced many problems in ordinary publishing, it's time and money consuming, and at the end you never get the credit or the result that equals the effort done .
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
through making my novel (Bianca) available for download easily worldwide, and made people across the world read and review it and give me their feedback which was very useful .
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
To go to another life, pass through different experiences that you probably will never pass through in your everyday life :)
What do your fans mean to you?
They mean everything, they give you advise, they give you hints on what works better for you and what doesn't, they make me feel that i have accomblished something, and this last part is priceless.
What are you working on next?
A group of short stories, some are drama, some suspense thrillers..
Who are your favorite authors?
Too many :D
Dostoevsky, Chekhov, Graham Green, Steven King, Maeev Pinchy, Guy DE Maupassant, Hans christian Anderson, Jeffery Archer, Elif Shafaq .and many others
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Sense of commitment to go to work :D
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Reading, drawing, listening to music..
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
From recommendations mostly, or i read about the book's subject and think it is interesting enough for me .
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes.. it was a short mystery story, about a couple of kids whose neighbor lost her necklace and they decided to find it :D
What is your writing process?
first the inspiration, then i start writing from the point that catches my attention, of course i reread what i wrote all the time to correct and add details, and if needed, i must do some research work first, specially if the story is happening in another time or country .
